As a not-for-profit organization, it is the policy of the Board of Governors of Hillel Academy to maintain school fees at levels that are affordable to as wide a cross section of the community as possible, and which are sufficient to cover recurrent operating expenses and normal replacement capital expenditure only.

It follows therefore that the school must look to the wider community in order to mobilize the resources necessary to undertake major capital improvements to its plant and facilities, and indeed the school has enjoyed, and continues to enjoy, a significant amount of support from the local community amounting to several million dollars over the years.

The Hillel Academy Foundation was established to provide a focal point for the community’s efforts to ensure the long-term financial stability of the institution and to support the school in fulfilling its mission. There are many reasons to give – you may want to express your belief in our mission, help another student have a Hillel education, or enhance one of our many programmes.

We recognize that giving is a highly personal matter, dictated in part by one’s own circumstances. The Foundation is totally committed to the goals of Hillel Academy and values every donor irrespective of the size of their donation. The needs of the school are cyclical and as such we have developed four vehicles for funding – The Annual Fund, The Scholarship Fund, The Faculty Endowment Fund and the Capital Development Fund.

THE HILLEL FUND supports the annual operating budget of the school and allows us to continue on our path to becoming a world-class school.

THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND allows us to provide a challenging education for deserving students from all walks of life.

THE FACULTY ENDOWMENT FUND supports our goal to increase the depth and range of the teaching experience and to retain a high calibre of teachers.

CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND has been established to build and upgrade facilities in support of our advanced educational and extra-curricular programmes.
The Foundation will endeavour to provide sufficient funding so that Hillel Academy is never forced to compromise the quality of its programmes or the scope of activities available to the school community due to a lack of financial resources.
